Rehabilitation & Disability-Assessment & On-road Evaluation
- With over 20 years of experience in the rehabilitation and disability driving industry, vehicles equipped with hand-control systems, and recognition as a Driving Rehabilitation Specialist, Right Way will evaluate the client's cognitive capabilities through basic paper assessments. Right Way will also conduct an on-road evaluation with the client after demonstrating maneuvers within a secure and safe area, such as a parking lot. The drive begins and ends from the client's home, school, or pre-approved location.
- Online driver education classroom course and additional driving lessons are scheduled upon completion of the assessment and evaluation.
- Information for rehabilitation and disability assessment and training is dependent on whether you are an individual or an organization. Please return the answers to the Welcome Letter that will be emailed to you. This information is used to calculate the costs and is offered to you during our initial phone call.

- Having certified driving instructors, Right Way teaches the Final Driving Lesson. Drives begin and end from the student's home, school, or preapproved location. Some exclusions apply.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off Service
Your son or daughter will be picked up and dropped off at home, school, or a pre-approved location; restrictions may apply due to travel distance. If you are located more than a few miles outside of the downtown area of Cedar Rapids/Marion, we will meet at Oakland Church, located on 42nd Street in Cedar Rapids.
Final Driving Lesson - This drive must be taught by one of our certified driving instructors. This lesson determines whether the student has passed or failed the behind-the-wheel driving portion of the course by testing them through all driving levels. The drive can be conducted at any time. If waiting until after the classroom portion is completed, you have up to 45 days. Upon passing, their driver education certificate is released to the DOT before the lesson is finished. Upon failing, which is very rare, another Final Driving Lesson must be scheduled.
Driving Lessons Explained
The state requires six hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons. Our program has been state-approved to allow parents to teach all driving lessons but the last one.
Downtown, Parking, Highway, and Interstate Driving Lessons - Once you register, you will receive detailed instructions regarding each driving lesson. These guide you through what needs to be addressed during each driving lesson. You are not doing it alone. We are here to help!
